In Vacuum Wars’ review, the L60 Ultra PE picked up 100% of the pet hair pressed into carpet and left 0% of long hair wrapped on its brushes, against category averages of 82% and 26%. It removed 94% of the sand embedded in carpet, the second-best result of nearly 200 robots they’ve tested, and avoided 21 of 24 obstacles. The weak spots are a small dustbin and light mopping that left dried stains behind. The dock empties it for up to 100 days and washes the mop in 212°F water (Dreame).

Skip it if you mostly need a mop for dried stains on hard floors. Light mopping is its weak spot.

Best pet-hair robot that also mops well: eufy Robot Vacuum Omni C28
The C28 removed 100% of embedded pet hair with 0% hair wrap in Vacuum Wars’ tests, and its roller mop earned one of the 10 best mopping scores in their database. Tom’s Guide named it the best budget robot for pet hair (June 2026), though its strong airflow sometimes blew hair back into cleaned areas. It avoided only 15 of 24 obstacles, and at 4.4 inches tall it won’t fit under some sofas.

Skip it if your pet has accidents indoors. A robot that avoids more obstacles, like the Dreame L60 Ultra PE, is safer.
Best budget robot for pet hair: Roborock Q10 S5+
For about a third of the price, the Q10 S5+ picked up 96% of pet hair (the average robot managed 75.4%) and left no hair wrapped in Vacuum Wars’ tests, and it tied their record for deep-cleaning carpet. The catches are real: it avoided just 6 of 24 obstacles, and Vacuum Wars saw more early owner reports than usual of units that stopped working within days or weeks. Buy it from a store with easy returns.

Best premium robot vacuum: Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete
Dreame’s flagship also scored 100% on pet hair and avoided 22 of 24 obstacles in Vacuum Wars’ pet hair ranking. You pay about $500 more than the L60 Ultra PE for dual AI cameras, threshold climbing and a 3.13-inch body that slides under low furniture. It covers about 950 sq ft per charge, so it suits small-to-medium homes.

What matters with pets
Four things separate a good pet robot from a frustrating one:
- Anti-tangle brushes. The L60 Ultra PE, Omni C28 and Q10 S5+ all left no hair wrapped in Vacuum Wars’ seven-inch hair test.
- Obstacle avoidance. A robot that can’t see a pet accident will spread it. Vacuum Wars’ 24-obstacle scores for these picks range from 22 (X60) to 6 (Q10 S5+).
- A self-emptying dock. Pet hair fills a small bin fast, and all four empty themselves into a bag in the dock.
- Carpet cleaning. Hair works its way into carpet pile. These four scored 89% to 96% in Vacuum Wars’ carpet deep-clean test.
